Sept 17th Shell Bell is up for sale

We were heading for Mercia in our last blog. well we made it safe and sound. Now for the sad news, we have put Shell Bell up for sale, we have a lot of family commitments and we won’t be able to get on board as much as we would like so that makes it an expensive luxury. It is sad but the economics just don’t work. Shell Bell has been great for us a reliable boat that has never let us down, we did have her altered and I think she is a much better boat for it.

This must be a sad time for you both but your memories of the great times you had while on board Shell Bell will always be with you. We wish you all the best for the future and who knows, one day you may be able to resume your waterway life and once again experience the joys of the waterways.

    Norwyn & Sheila,

That is sad news, but no doubt a decision considered and for the right reasons. It is certainly not an inexpensive interest and you have to be using them to get best value. If you can push to it I’d look to getting the blog printed….a good reminder of the times aboard. I am getting mine done a year at a time as something for my kids to read when they realise why I owned a boat !

    Take care

Thanks Irene we will always remember our time on Shell Bell and you never know we may get back in the future

Nev that’s a good idea as a bookbinder you would think I would have thought of that.

You’ll have to find another way to keep the blog up, it’s been good fun to follow you around the waterways of the UK. great work Mr & Mrs P.
